Westminster City Council needs to promote a new and compelling vision for Oxford street, W1, if it is to continue to improve and attract investment.
One of the greatest changes on the street over the past decade has been new ownership and international investment.
In order to maintain future growth for retailers then landlords should create more stores on the street, and create more facias as well as more tenant diversification, according to experts speaking on a panel at LREF on the future of London’s busiest street.
The panel:
Sam Foyle, Oxford Street Retail, Savills (Chair)
Anthony Selwyn, Head of Central London Retail, Savills
Sue West, Operations Directior, Selfridges and Oxford Street and Chair, New West End
Cllr Robert Davis MBE DL, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Business, Culture and Heritage, Westminster City Council
Kam Lee, Kam Lee Associates
