Mid-Session 30 May 19: ASX continues to retreat as trade tensions remain in focus

Local shares have followed US sharemarkets lower on Thursday as trade tensions between China and the US remain front of mind for participants. At the same time investors are unnerved by falling long term interest rates which point to slowing economic growth.
