Days of Our Lives fans are in for a roller-coaster ride as the fate of Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) takes a dramatic turn. The duo plans to leave Salem after Eric discovers the truth about EJ DiMera's (Dan Feuerriegel) deceptive plot. 

However, their departure is met with resistance from Nicole's daughter, Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis), who is unwilling to leave her secret lover, Tate Black (Leo Howard), on Smith Island. Amidst the turmoil, EJ DiMera throws a last-minute wrench in their plans by threatening to reveal a dark secret from Eric's past. Regardless, Eric and Nicole proceed with their departure, marking the confirmed last appearance of Arianne Zucker on the show. 

The circumstances around their exit hint at a less than perfect ending for the couple, leaving fans speculating about the future of their favorite characters. Eric is expected to return to Salem eventually, but the question remains whether he will return alone or with their son, Jude Brady (Oliver McLarty).
