Seit dem 29. Juni 2022 sitzt der Gründer der Querdenken-Bewegung in der Justizvollzugsanstalt Stuttgart im Stadtteil Stammheim in Untersuchungshaft. Uli Gellermann bezeichnet dies als einen Akt "staatlicher Unterdrückung" und erinnert daran: "Michael Ballwegs Freiheit ist unser aller Freiheit."
