An Irish MEP has described upper limits proposed to direct payments to farmers, in recently announced CAP reform proposals, as a 'mirage'.
Changes to the Common Agricultural Policy, announced by Commissioner Phil Hogan, are due to take effect after 2020.
However, a Sinn Fein MEP claims the plans do not address growing inequality in the sector.
