What Sounds Scarier Than A Cold?

Coronavirus. Disease. Pandemic. These haunting words combined with the 24 Hour news coverage and social media is creating more tension every single day as we prepare for the supposed impending doom of American culture. When I went to Trader Joe's today, it felt like people were preparing for the end of the world. Is an apocalypse coming or are we all just being manipulated by the media? Today on the Spiritual Spiral, I continue to try and sort out the mess created by the media, the government and the coronavirus. Does anyone even know the common cold is considered a coronavirus? Does anyone know this flu season has killed more children than any other flu season on record? Why are people rushing to the grocery stores to buy countless rolls of toilet paper? It makes no sense but it feels like we have no choice. I'm not sure if China is hoping to control the world or the media just wants to scare the hell out of us or use this story to push Donald Trump out of office. Whatever the reason, I will continue to examine the coronavirus story, the manipulative nature of the media and ask challenging questions to try and make sense of it all.
