Mid-Session 17 June 19: Local shares open lower following losses on Wall Street

The ASX 200 opened lower on Monday following on from the weaker trend seen for US stocks at the weekend. However, by lunch the losses were halved thanks to support for the big lenders. Vocus Group (VOC) fell 30% after AGL withdrew its takeover bid for the telco.
