鍵(かぎ)がかけてあったのに、泥棒(どろぼう)に入(はい)られました。

kagi ga kakete atta noni, dorobou ni hairaremashita.

lock – (subject marker) – engaged – even though – robber – by – was entered

Even though it was locked, a thief broke in.
