Mid-Session 5 July 19: Aussie shares improving for a fifth straight day

The local sharemarket is looking to finish the week on a high, lifting for a fifth straight day on Friday. With Wall Street closed for the Independence Day holiday, there was little lead in for Aussie shares. At lunch, the ASX 200 is advancing by 23 points to 6741 with gains across most sectors.
