Market Close 22 Aug 18: ASX 200 extends yesterday’s losses

Banks & miners were some of the biggest losers today, sending the ASX 200 down 0.3%, extending yesterday’s 1% tumble. Telcos outperformed, helped by a surge in TPG shares on the back of news its consider a merger with Vodafone.
