Andrew Dwyer, Kewanee Park District Executive Director, joined Wake Up Tri-Counties on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022. Mr. Dwyer joined the show to discuss a new opening on the Park Board with the retirement of Jackie Verscha. The Kewanee Park District is asking people to reach out to Board Members and to Andrew Dwyer if they'd like to be considered for appointment to finish the remaining term of Jackie Verscha who announced recently that she was stepping down. Andrew Dwyer also announced the start of work on a new pollinator garden, made possible by a grant, and several grant applications that have gone out related to funds being made available by the American Rescue Plan. Finally, Andrew Dwyer spoke to WKEI about plans for the Park District to enter into an agreement for three Solar Arrays that will be part of the existing City of Kewanee Solar Project with Clean Energy Design Group.
