Mid-Session 8 Oct 18: Weak start for Aussie shares after falls on Wall St

The local sharemarket is following a weak lead from Wall Street, with the ASX 200 down 1% in early trade. The banks are weighing on the market after ANZ flagged impairments of $824m for FY18.
