Mid-Session 16 Feb 18: Market lifts for the third time this week

The Australian sharemarket is improving by 0.3% after having its biggest daily gain of the year on Thursday. Mining stocks are underperforming following a solid lift yesterday while banks are lifting strongly enough to offset those losses.
