Topic: But God Forbid that I Should Glory, Save in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, By Whom the World is Crucified Unto Me and I Unto the World. Galatians 6:14

The desires of the "flesh" are contrary to the desires of the Holy Spirit. The two actually war against one another. This is why the Holy Spirit works in us, as our faith is properly placed in the Cross of Christ, to eliminate the works/ways of the flesh as we yield to this process, so that the desires of the Spirit can be placed in us. Our ways aren't His ways and our thoughts aren't His thoughts.

Many are not aware of the fact that God has a way of dealing with mankind and if we desire a relationship with Him it can only happen by faith in what His Son has accomplished on our behalf at Calvary. God was and is pleased at with Christ and only pleased with us when we exhibit faith in that Great Act. As our faith is properly placed in the Cross, the Power of God is free to be released in our lives.
