Mid-Session 20 Sep 18: ASX 200 weakens as banks weigh

The Australian sharemarket is down 0.4% in early trade, weighed down by falls from retail, energy and financial stocks. Banks are under pressure after Westpac announced discounts on new loans in an effort to win over new customers.
