Gerard Butler is back as America's most incorrigible Secret Service agent Mike Banning, who is once again tasked with keeping President Asher alive in dire consequences. When the Prime Minister of England dies mysteriously (but not mysterious enough to be investigated even a little), the leaders of the world are summoned to his funeral. Unfortunately for 99% of the leaders, they don't have Mike Banning on their side, so they're mercilessly killed. President Asher barely escapes with his life, but he's not out of the woods yet. Now Banning must protect the most important person in the free world from being hunted in the streets of London.
