This is such a reassuring verse in 1 John that explains the understanding we can have through Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Knowledge of the truth and objective moral clarity only come through belief in Jesus, for Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” We are consoled that one day “the wise will understand.”
