The Suicide Squad Review - Movie Review Friday (but on a Monday)

If it’s not the most hyped movie of 2021 so far overall, it is definitely the most hyped we have been for a movie so far this year! That movie is, of course, The Suicide Squad, written and directed by James Gunn. There are so many storylines coming into this movie: the infamous Marvel firing/DC hiring, a second attempt at the Suicide Squad franchise, the hard-R rating, I mean, we could go on. But the difficult thing with movies that are hyped up as much as this one is that they then must live up to it. So, dive into this spoiler-full review to see if we think James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is another addition to a long list of forgettable DC films, or if it resets the bar for DC films going forward!
