This is a dhamma talk on the Vitakkasanthana Sutta, the sutta on the relaxation of thoughts. The importance of understanding what it means to take refuge in the Buddha, his Dhamma, and a well-focused sangha is also discussed, as well as the reason why our retreats on not taken in total silence.
This talk includes Sangha Q&A and discussion and was recorded during the morning session of our one-day retreat at Cross River Meditation Center in Frenchtown New Jersey on December 4, 2016.
