Rejoice, life-bearing Cross of the Lord, you are the Church's comely Garden of Paradise, the tree of incorruption, which has produced fruit for us, which is the eternal glory we receive. Through you the arrays and hosts of the demons are kept away; through you the armies of the Angels rejoice with us, as we celebrate with believers throughout the world. Weapon invincible to all, unbreakable battlement, you are the boast of the clergy, you are the triumph of Emperors. We pray you will grant us to arrive at Christ's Passion and Resurrection.
