What You Don’t Know Can’t Hurt You

You've probably heard the old saying that "What you don't know can't hurt you." I've always questioned that as far as what happens in our lives. But for Adam and Eve, everything was fine when they didn't know good and evil. But isn't knowing good and evil a desirable thing? Adam and Eve thought so. But it was not! When their eyes were opened, they lost their innocence and tried to hide their guilt and shame. Romans Chapter Seven says that "sinful passions... were aroused by the law." Knowing good from evil, in rebellion to the very Word of God who was alive in intimate relationship with Adam and Eve killed them! Paul agrees with this from his own experience.
