US sharemarkets continued to bounce back from their worst week in 2 years on Monday. American Express (+3.3%) and Apple (+4.0%) were among the best performing stocks. Cisco shares (+2.7%) benefited from a "buy" upgrade from broker Nomura Instinet. General Dynamic shares fell 1.2% after the US defence contractor said that it would buy smaller rival CSRA for about US$6.8 billion. CSRA shares soared by 31.1%. At the close of trade, the Dow Jones was up by 410 points or 1.7%. The S&P 500 index was up by 1.4%. And the Nasdaq rose by 107 points or 1.6%.
