AM Report 4 Sep 18: US markets closed for holiday

The US sharemarket remained shut on Monday for the Labor Day holiday while European equities edged higher on light volumes. The FTSE rose most thanks to a softer Sterling which was pushed lower by ongoing Brexit concerns.
