E49: The Reality of Plastic Surgery - Mr Naveen Cavale (Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon)

In this week's episode we meet Mr Naveen Cavale, a consultant plastic surgeon based in London. Mr Cavale shares his journey to becoming a leading surgeon and what true plastic surgery entails. We learn about his day to day working life including the depth and variety of procedures. We explore his work abroad in war-torn countries including Gaza and the importance of surgical training for future generations. He imparts great advice for those wishing to pursue a surgical career!

Mr Naveen Cavale is a fully accredited Plastic Surgeon, on the UK specialist register (equivalent to USA board certified). He has an NHS Plastic & Reconstructive practice in King's College London as well as a Private Plastic, Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgery practice in Central London. He has taken his reconstructive skills to other parts of the world where they are desperately needed being shared by BBC World and other major news outlets. He is president of the Plastic Surgery section at the Royal Society of Medicine.
