Ireland South MEP, Sean Kelly, believes there is a desire to complete a deal on Brexit and avoid a hard border in Ireland.
Yesterday, the EU’s Chief negotiator on the issue, Michel Barnier, indicated an agreement could be reached in six to eight weeks with the UK.
The issue of the Irish border has been one of the key stumbling blocks in discussions to date.
