Philip the Deacon flees Jerusalem after the conflict between Hellenistic Diaspora elements in Jerusalem attack the church spearheaded by Saul. Philip goes up into Samaria and makes a splash. Two stories are given inviting us to compare and contrast fruitfulness and baptism in the new church: Simon Magus and the Ethiopian Eunuch. Acts 8.
