US Close 2 Dec 15: Health care stocks led the way in US. Dow up 168pts.

US sharemarkets soared at the open of trade, corrected on the soft manufacturing data but then rebounded after investors re-assessed the economic situation. At the close of trade the Dow Jones index was up by 168 points or 1.0%. The S&P 500 was up by 1.1% and the Nasdaq was higher by almost 48 points or 0.9%.
