Why is Easter So Important?

Surveys tells us that huge numbers of people around the world accept the resurrection of Jesus Christ as a historical fact. So what? Big deal! Jesus was who He said He was. But it is a big deal.  When Jesus Christ rose from the grave after being dead for three days, it did two things: It proved who Jesus was, and it validated what He taught. He was God. Does that make a difference - you bet it does! It means that God made us for a purpose, it means that we can know God personally, that we can be forgiven and live in a “forever” relationship with God. That’s why Easter is so important.
