Miles returns to the show this week to talk about why so many people are starting to treat Chat GPT as a deity, and are willing to sacrifice their friendships and intimate relationships so they can worship the computer. Miles talks about the people who have lost their loved ones to LLMs and the work it takes to bring them back from the brink, why tech companies are unwilling to stop this from happening, and the ways that religious organisations are forced to compete with AI on matters of textual interpretation and issuing spiritual guidance.
