Exposing Trump’s Racism

Today's guest hosts are Charlotte Hancock, Communications Director for Generation Progress, and Brent Cohen, Executive Director of Generation Progress and the VP of the Center for American Progress.

They discuss two very important and timely topics during today's show.

The first topic is Trump's racism and recent lawsuits regarding it. The guest for this topic is Maryum Jordan, who serves as Counsel for the Special Litigation and Advocacy Project at the Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. Maryum discusses a case that she worked on called, African Communities Together v. Trump, and how how Trump employs lots of racist ideas to demonize populations.

The guest for this topic is Dr. Theodore R. Johnson, Senior Fellow with the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU's School of Law.  They discuss how Trump has repeatedly shown that he believes the only acceptable Americans are white and Christian. They also talk about how Russia has used America’s history of racism to infiltrate our political system.  Finally, they cover how the tactics that Nazi Germany used in WWII, through leaflets and other propaganda, parallels to Russians in our current elections.
