30 minutes with...Councillor Helen Godwin, Bristol City Council

In our latest podcast, Councillor Helen Godwin of Bristol City Council joins Stephen Lodge, Executive Director of Development and Strategic Asset Management at Abri, to discuss the rise of modern methods of construction, the potential that it has to build homes more efficiently and faster to help alleviate the homelessness crisis. We look at examples of how it is being successfully used in Bristol by both Abri and the council, and some of the future technologies and trends we might look out for.

We cover all forms of modular construction, including factory-built homes and modular housing solutions such as mac containers. We're also discussing if, and how MMC can play a role in reducing homelessness, providing alternative accommodation through different means.
