Bill Deutsch, an aquatic ecologist and research fellow emeritus at Auburn University, talks with Carolyn Hutcheson, In Focus host, about Alabama fossils and deep time. The author of the book, "Alabama Rivers, A Celebration and Challenge," is teaching a course on Ancient Life in Alabama this fall at Olli at Auburn, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Auburn University.
