Episode: Host Alpha Mike talks about the state of correctional jails in America. NYC closing its current jail island, which houses 10 jails and spreading the jails around the city, but at what cost. LA County building two jails at a cost of 3 billion and the LA Times says upon completion of the two jails the cost could be 5 to 7 billion. Why have all these Cities, Counties and States waited so long to build new jails. Alpha goes over the two era's that the American jail construction was good during the 60's and 80's, but today to many agencies are faced with not be able to fund a new jail because of the high cost. Why have these governments waited so long to start construction.
