Cindy Stewart Podcast Show Notes Following The Spirit: Tandem Movement May 24, 2020 The concept of connecting with the spiritual realm is all around us. It is presented to us in various ways; through music, art, television, books, blogs and the list goes on. The reality is that we can and should connect to the spirit realm. We just need to do so the way that God has intended for us; through an authentic relationship with the Holy Spirit. By following the Holy Spirit, we can learn how to move in tandem with God. Colossians 1:16 says, “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. Throughout scripture there is evidence of an invisible realm.” In today’s message we will discuss the two main action steps we must take, and replete over and over, as born again believers, to move in tandem with God’s Spirit. We must daily seek the Word of God We must consistently seek God’s Circle of Relationship As believers in Jesus, our positions have changed. Our reality is now living from the spiritual realm. Understanding and applying this is crucial to the life of every follower of Jesus. Colossians 3:1-3 says, “Therefore if you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, sharing in His resurrection from the dead], keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]. 3 For you died [to this world], and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.” Positionally, the foundation built within our spirit-man enables us to live from the spiritual realm while living here on earth just like Jesus did. Furthermore, just like Jesus did, we must daily seek the Word of God and consistently seek God’s circle of relationship to move in tandem with His Spirit.
