Good morning! This morning I read a couple of articles about about Samsung incorporating an NFT marketplace into their new TVs. This coincidentally happens to come just after Theta CEO Mitch Liu happened to make a trip to Samsung in Korea to talk about NFTs with them. I am not trying to overdose on Theta hopium, but it all sounds very interesting. Then, I dig into the new EIP-2981 NFT standard that bakes in royalty payments at the protocol level. To be honest, I thought it was already baked in the ERC-721 token, but I guess I did not understand it fully. The royalty payments have been taken care of at the marketplace platform level. So if an NFT was created on one platform and sold on another, then the royalty may not apply.
