Market Close 18 Feb 19: Bright start for local market on renewed trade hopes

Aussie shares are off to a positive start to the new trading week with US-China trade optimism lifting global markets. The ASX 200 rose 24 points or 0.4% to 6089.8. Energy stocks were the most improved while Industrials were the main laggard as Bingo Industries (BIN) slumped 49% on an earnings downgrade.
