HIGHLIGHTS SINCE FRIDAY
- S. crop weather is going to be favorable for the next ten days, although the Gulf of Mexico Coast region, West Texas and the interior valleys in the Pacific Northwest will be dry biased
- Frost and light freezes occurred in a small part of the northern Plains during the weekend and the impact was low
- Western Saskatchewan dryness may be partially eased later this week
- Frost and freezes in Canada’s Prairies late last week and during the weekend had a low impact on crops
- No excessive heat is slated for north America
- Europe temperatures will be milder than usual which will conserve soil moisture
- Northern Europe dryness will last through this week while a boost in precipitation occurs this weekend into next week in some of the driest areas
- Early season rainfall in southern India will be greater than usual over this weekend into the last days of May
- Parts of Australia may get timely rainfall during the weekend and especially next week
- China will start getting some scattered showers late this week into next week, although greater volumes of rain may still be needed in the Yellow River Basin
- China temperatures in the dry region will not be quite as hot as advertised Friday and for fewer days, though heat and moisture stress are expected until some rain falls
- No changes in South America
