Karen Koster

In this episode I chat with Ireland Am’s Karen Koster about managing Covid 19 Lockdown with small children. She discusses the challenges of managing the attention economy when you have 3 children under 7 years old. We also discussed parental guilt, managing our own responses, the myth of the robotic parent, the task of regulating children’s emotion, the difference between banter and bullying, when horse play gets out of hand and the importance of language and the 4-7 Principle. Karen talks openly about becoming a working mother, maintaining individual identity and keeping the fun in family relationships.
