Besides being a doctor and a pastor Jon is an action adventure guy, from swimming the waters of alcatrza to climbing the heighest of peaks and mountains he is a thrill seeker who found his greatest adventure in love and matters of the heart. About Guest Dr. Jon Ireland
Dr. Jon Ireland is the founding & lead Pastor at Oceanhills. Originally from the SF Bay Area, Jon & his wife Nathalie have been married for over 30 years.
Jon uses outdoor adventure trips (climbing the Matterhorn in Switzerland, river rafting in Costa Rica, biking the Big Island in Hawaii, and hiking the Milford Track in New Zealand to name a few) as part of his ministry to mentor and disciple next generation leaders.
His ministry passions are teaching God’s Word, officiating weddings, and using his influence to help raise awareness to help bring clean water, medical clinics, and better education to children in the DR Congo.
Jon studied at both Fuller seminary and North Park Theological Seminary.
Jon is passionate about becoming a great teammate, an inspirational communicator, building a strong marriage and family, mentoring the next generation of leaders, helping couples getting married turn their “big day” into their best day, and ultimately he wants to encourage ordinary people to live extraordinary lives by following Christ wholeheartedly and by loving well and living generously!
Jon is also part of the team of chaplains with the local fire department responding to crisis and care calls since 1998.
