For some reason I looked up the definition of this word the other day.In addition to referring to the declarations of the Sermon on the Mount, beatitude means a state of utmost bliss. ----more----For instance, here it is used in a sentence: not from earthly riches but from the milk of human kindness comes true beatitude or utmost bliss.I like the concept of utmost bliss.I imagine this to feel like what I would call, stupid happy contented bliss – which seems like – yeah – utmost bliss. Like you can’t get anymore blissed out. Bliss of course means – complete happiness.

I like the concept of utmost bliss.
I imagine this to feel like what I would call, stupid happy contented bliss – which seems like – yeah – utmost bliss.
Like you can’t get anymore blissed out.
Bliss of course means – complete happiness.
So beatitude is the highest state of complete happiness a person can hope to achieve.
This is what I strive for as a Humanist.
So, is Humanism a way to achieve beatitude? Yeah – I think it is.
