Today is Wednesday September 27th.  On today's show:

I am going to start of the day with the word of the day & quote of the day. A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT IN A WORLD OF HATE, Let's go!

Definition of conceited

Conceited means having an ex-ag-gerated sense of self-importance or pride.

I know that you have be fortunate (hhmm remember we are supposed to step and look at these blanks as messengers, ok back to it) I know that you have be fortunate enough to have met or had that person in your life that thinks the world revolves around them?  They spend their lives sitting on their high horse and refuse to come down.  They are conceited!!

There is absolutely no benefits about having someone in your life who thinks they are better than you, period!  99.5% of conceited people are toxic.

They are draining and bad for your health.  You need to know how to spot a conceited person and how to handle them before it is too late.

- They are arrogant

When they are being arrogant, they will be disrespectful to others and their views & opinions.  Because they view themselves as more intelligent than you.  They do not see you as an equal, especially if you have confronted them.

- They think they are always right

They think a lot of themselves, and never think they are wrong, and will never admit it!

They will ensure that their voice is the loudest, so no one else's opinion can be expressed.  They will even mute you if they have a chance, if simply because they feel the view is the best and you should not be heard.

-  They have a superiority complex

They always want to be the highest rank.  They CRAVE constant confirmation that they are the best, boasting numbers or charts to prove their conceit.

-  They won't give credit to anyone else

No matter their real contribution to the project, they will get others to do all the work, when they sit back doing nothing but push buttons BUT want their name first.  No matter how many people helped them achieve a goal along the way, they'll always downplay it.

And- They need constant reassurance

Instead of being humble and insecure on the outside, they constantly set up opportunities for others to take notice of them and hopefully agree with their bragging.

If this is someone you love, have a conversation with them.   I will warn you thou, again they do not like being told they are wrong.  There might be an argument. 

You have to come to understand that you deserve to be treated with respect. 

Remember…"A conceited person never gets anywhere because he thinks he is already there!!"  hahaha

Female dragonflies fake their own death in order to avoid being mated with by males. This behavior, called sexual death feigning, evolved to protect females against aggressive males who can injure or kill them during mating. When a female dragonfly sees an unwanted male approaching, she falls from the sky and lies motionless on the ground until he leaves. This strategy is used by female moorland hawker dragonflies and possibly other species.
