S2 Ep14: Sending Self-Protection in Relationships to Hell

In this episode, Janet weaves the story of her journey in embracing vulnerability. As a girl, she learned to build walls in relationships, perfecting the survival skill of stoicism in the midst of family instability. Carrying her “strong” self-reliance into adulthood, her ability to be truly known in relationships was limited. In a surprising turn of events, Janet and her husband met a pastor whose approach to Christianity broke the norm.  As a result, Janet began witnessing God as a loving Father who was patiently helping her tear down the fortress that had protected her heart for so long.  She experienced the abundant goodness of God at work as she began to follow God’s way for relationships and see many of her friends come to faith in the process!
