Mid-Session 8 May 19: Local shares follow Wall St with broad based selling

The Australian sharemarket is lower in the early part of Wednesday’s session as it takes the lead from US & European markets. The ASX 200 is down more than 0.5% with every sector in negative territory. Defensives are outperforming with gold miners among the most improved on the top 200 index.
