Morning Report 28 Apr 21: US sharemarkets were mixed on Tuesday

Investors digested earnings results and awaited more results after the close of trade. Investors also responded to strong economic data but displayed some caution ahead of the US Federal Reserve rates decision. After releasing earnings shares in Tesla fell 4.5% with 3M down 2.6%. The Dow Jones index rose by 3 points or less than 0.1%. The S&P 500 index fell by just 0.9 points from record highs. And the Nasdaq index fell by 48.5 points or 0.3% from record highs.
