One of the things I discoverd in the early 1980s, when I started to get deeper into Reggae and especially into Dub, was the Showcase style: combining the vocal tune with its Dub counterpart and putting them on an album. In this time I spend a lot of energy in finding fitting vocal/version pairs (today it is much easier, of course, because oft so many sources you can find on the internet). Two starting points for me were produced by Sly & Robbie: Raiders of the Lost Dub and A Dub Experience. Now is the time to pay tribute to these masterpieces and re-unite them with their vocal cuts: in a live mix Showcase stylee!
