Five Points is a literary journal of poetry, fiction, essays, interviews and art. The Five Points podcast strives to create discussion beyond the pages of the journal and engage readers with new content.
Our inaugural episode centers on volume 19, issue # 2 of Summer 2019 and features interviews with Josuha Bodwell about Andre Dubus’ “Madeline Sheppard,” a discussion with Dr. Elizabeth West and her students about Nikky Finney’s “Hot Bed #11,” and a conversation with Randy Malamud and Pam Longbardi about The Drifters Project.
Special thanks to Joshua Bodwell, Drs. Elizabeth West, Randy Malamud, and Pam Longobardi, Dionne Clark, Carla Gomez, Bishop Lloyd, and GSU’s English department. Episode one was created by Dr. Megan Sexton, Laurah Norton, Brandie Rendon, Brooke Floyd, and Lexie Newhouse. Our music is provided by The Skylarks. Engineered by Maura Currie.
