Market Close 31 Jul 18: Market up 1.4% in July, rising for a fourth straight month

The Australian sharemarket has climbed 1.4% in July, adding to the 3% gain recorded in June. The improvement was thanks to a 7.9% surge in the Telco sector, and stronger industrials, financial & healthcare stocks.
