This Psalm was written during the time that David’s son, Absalom, was preparing to attack, and seize the throne, even if it meant killing his own father. David fled to the desert of Judah, but he found himself in a desert of soul. Psalm 63 is a message for those who find themselves in the desert.

David had a spiritual experience in the desert, and he survived and overcame in the desert, and we can too. David’s story brings encouragement to our hearts, and equips us to find our way out of the desert.
