Episode # 911 - Start Of Memorial Day Weekend

TGIF everyone and loyal listeners, in a really big way with not only beautiful weather here and on the way for this Memorial Day Weekend for everyone to enjoy, but a good feeling in the air.  Everyone shares how they are doing, as well as what they plan on doing this weekend with family and friends.  Father Anthony also explains the historical creation and meaning of Memorial Day, around the time of the Civil War to commemorate those who had fallen, as well as we express our thanks and feelings of those today that serve or have served to defend us as well.  The feeling of excitement is in the air as well, not only are people already traveling to places around, but also the fact that President Obama came to Chicago yesterday for a dinner and Producer Nick talks briefly about seeing his limo traveling to O'Hare Airport possibly, but also Father Anthony talking about being at the dinner he hosted yesterday, especially how expensive it was.   He also shares experiences of traveling around the world in past years and with or meeting several interesting people, some funny from Christina and Tony, as well as talking about the various Popes and their trips too and upcoming for Pope Francis this weekend as well traveling to the Middle East.  After the second break, the historical references about Memorial Day and it's purpose further in terms of the times today, those who served, fought, defended, and died for our country is shared.  With all this in mind, Father Anthony discusses further God's mercy for us all and bringing God's presence towards other people, explaining this through historical figures from the Bible, provided as models from the Old Testament related to things going on in society today.  And, Happy Memorial Day everyone, from all of us at Winds Of Change.
