Allein sein Debutroman "Mehmed der Falke" ist in über 40 Sprachen übersetzt. Als Sozialist setzte er sich immer für die Menschenrechte ein. Das Gespräch dreht sich um die Bedeutung des Gefängnisses für türkische Schriftsteller und um die Freiheit der Literatur in der Türkei.

His debut novel ‘Mehmed the Falcon’ alone has been translated into over 40 languages. As a socialist, he always stood up for human rights. The discussion centres on the significance of prison for Turkish writers and the freedom of literature in Turkey.
